Little Sangeetha is a bright 4-year old daughter of two proud parents (Mr. Animesh Dolai & his wife). As Sangeetha went about living a happy childhood, she unexpectedly got infected with a severe cough and fever, which prolonged for weeks even after the regular course of antibiotics.
Sangeetha is known case of Steroid resistant nephrotic syndrome. She is on high dose steroids. In the past she has been treated with Rituximab (2 dose). Cyclosporin (2 doses). Since March 2020 she has been treated on MPA (TAB Mycophenolic acid).
This admission she has presented with hypovolemia relapse and increased the edema. She in not responding to Inj. Albumin (4 doses given) and Lasix infusion hence, therapeutic tapping was done on 05 /10/2020 post tapping she is responding well to diuretics. According to treatment doctor she may require another one week of hospitalisation and one more dose of Rituximab in remission (Cost Rs. 15000).
This family is basically hailing from West Bengal but due to the long-term treatment of child family migrated to Bangalore and lives in rented house. Father works as gardener and earns Rs. 12,000/- per month and mother is homemaker.
Her approximate expenses of current bill will be Rs. 1,25,000/- (Rupees one lakhs twenty- five thousand only). This patient may require more financial support in the future to maintain regular follow-up.
